Do you want to take part in an exciting opportunity?
Too often women just put up with health problems, especially when it comes to menopause. It’s time for change.
The experts at Dr Morton’s – the medical helpline© have teaming up with Medopad, a ground-breaking global health tech company. Together they aim to evaluate the benefits of collecting data to inform women’s choices on managing menopause symptoms, through a new app.
Women’s health needs can be poorly served within our over-stretched NHS and Dr Morton’s mission is to provide affordable, convenient access to gynaecologists and GPs who share their view about the importance of women’s health.
Menopause awareness is growing and we always talk to women about monitoring their symptoms and this new app makes it easy.
Here’s the opportunity and it’s FREE
Dr Morton’s are looking for 200 menopausal women.
They’re offering 3 months’ FREE access to expert gynaecologists plus it’s FREE to download the My Dr Morton’s Menopause App to record your menopause information.
You will be able to see the patterns of your menopause symptoms, monitor treatment and you can share it with your gynaecologist. This will give an objective view of how your treatment is working for you.
To take part you need to:
- Be between the age of 45 and 55 years whether you’re peri or postmenopausal, taking treatment for menopausal symptoms or not.
- Own a Smartphone
Here’s what will happen:
Firstly, go to the Dr Morton’s Menopause App Study website, check and agree the terms and conditions of the study.
Then download Dr Morton’s Menopause App and complete your symptom and wellbeing information.
Once you’ve downloaded the App and completed the initial questionnaire, you can begin collecting your menopause symptom data.
After 2 weeks Medopad will send you an email to ask how your data collection is going, and Dr Morton’s will send you the link to register for your gynaecology consultations. All your medical consultations with their gynaecologists or GPs for other medical issues will be FREE for 3 months from then.
Women who register with Dr Morton’s – the medical helpline will be asked to set up a GoCardless account. This is in case you want to have medication prescribed or decide to use any of Dr Morton’s other services.
They recommend you collect data for 2 weeks before ringing the gynaecologist for an initial consultation. The doctor will check you’re happy for them to look at your Dr Morton’s Menopause App data at the time of the consultation.
You will need to speak to one of their gynaecologists at least once before the 3-month trial is over. But can call at any time you need to.
- Gynaecologists are available from 7pm to 11pm. You don’t need an appointment.
- GPs are available from 7am to 11pm to help with any medical issue.
Dr Morton’s can either prescribe you treatment or recommend you visit your GP to ask for a prescription.
After 3 months they will ask you to complete a short questionnaire. They want to check if collecting and sharing your symptom and wellbeing data helped you decide what was right for you.
The Medopad support team will be there to help you if you have any questions about the App.
