Life is in the small things…

Live a great story - handwriting on a napkin with a fresh apple

Each one of us is gifted similar physical and mental capabilities when we arrive in a world full of surprises and unprecedented episodes.

Life concept - live a great story, handwriting on a napkin with a fresh appleEach one of us wakes up to the same long Monday every week.

Each one of us; at some point in time experience happiness and there are moments when we just fall apart.

When everything is so similar then how do some people seem to get ahead battling through all the challenges life throws at them?

The truth is – no one is born with extraordinary capabilities, it is how you groom and train your mind and body to see extraordinary in ordinary makes the whole difference.

Those who proved outstanding achievers at a later stage were not born with superpowers. They simply discharged their duties with a positive mindset. They were optimistic in their approach and had strong faith in themselves.

When you realize most of your life will be consumed by normal days rather the extraordinary ones, you feel motivated to raise the overall quality of these normal days”Steve Pavlina.

Many people have lived their lives pretty much the same for a very long time. Either they do not feel the need to change their schedule because they are happy with what they do or they are just scared of trying something new.

Mahatma Gandhi was an ordinary person until one day when he decided to stand up against the injustice meted out to him when he was thrown out of the train in South Africa, even though he had the valid First Class ticket.

We all consider him extra-ordinary today, but there was a good possibility of him being killed while challenging the government of his time. The lesson is simple and clear. Life gives you fair enough chances to prove your worth it is your decisions that makes you stand out.

You can make your ordinary days exactly the reason why your life is beautiful. How? I have got some juicy advice stacked up to lure you.

Can you find your ‘why’?

Most people’s lives are still not perfectly clear – an obvious reference to adults. They are often at the crossroads where doubts, fear, opportunities, and risk meets.

You do not have to run the horses of your head to understand this statement. Just think of yourself. How many times you have asked yourself – “What do I want to do with my life?” or “What do I not suck at?”

Millions of people have no clue about what they want to do in life. Is it a bad thing? No, it is not. Self-discovery is a journey. It is the way to reach deeper into yourself to find out what makes you come alive. What drives you, and what you feel happy doing.

The situation is still ordinary, it is you – trying to take the best decision for yourself makes it extraordinary. Being open to explore the unknown needs courage, and once you overcome the fear of trying your life will take a positive toll.

Indeed, only when you know your ‘why’ will you find the courage to take the risks needed to make your life extraordinary.

Start listening to your gut

Only courageous people have the ability to challenge the ideas and practices that make them successful. No matter how complicated the world gets, no matter how busy you become there would always be something inside you – a voice that will poke you to make a change and you should get habitual to listening to it.

When you decide to follow the voice inside you, you will be choosing an uncomfortable and even a painful journey. The burden will be enormous, and all you will have is three options – give up, give in or give it all you have.

Going against the current is tough. You will doubt yourself occasionally. You will have questions, and you might even mess up at times. But it pays to obey your gut if you have the confidence to finish what you started.

Do small things with love

You do not have to do something humongous to change your life or prove yourself as a valuable resource. Life is in the smallest of moments, and each one of them needs to be appreciated.

No matter how small, start doing something that matters. You can start anything that gives you moments of joy. Begin one-step at a time to transform the smallest areas of your life or the life of someone else. Thinking supportive thoughts, cultivating strong relationships, getting clear with your goals, following your heart, letting go a bad habit, all these things can make a difference.

The possibilities that once were invisible become visible. The things that once seemed impossible become possible. It all begins with that first, tiny step in the direction of your happiness.

It is time to express yourself

Most of us tend to think that they are not good enough or their ideas won’t stand victorious between a group of people they don’t even know properly. Why this fear of expressing yourself? Why do you want to waste an opportunity knowing that once it is gone, you might not get another?

You just need to stop questioning yourself. The world is waiting for you to start something. Waiting to hear what you have to say. Waiting to judge you with every step you take further.

Self-criticism and self-doubt will always be present, and you should know how to use it to your good. When we express ourselves in a way that brings out the best in us, we have already succeeded. It is all about improving from there.

As it is said, nothing is perfect in this beautiful world, and fingers are too few to count the flaws, so why do you feel shy of showing off your flaws? Each one of us has flaws, and we should embrace them rather than trying to hide them.

Though everything is regular and ordinary, but you can always try to be bringing that little ‘Extra-‘ that will make everything special.
