Henpicked reviews… Origins Peace of Mind

Origins Peace of MindWhen I was given the opportunity to try out items from John Lewis’s range, I jumped at the chance.

The offer coincided with some tricky personal circumstances. I’ve been under a lot of stress and waking with awful headaches almost daily. So I was delighted to find out I had been chosen to review Origins Sensory Therapy Peace of Mind which claims to offer on-the-spot relief.

The write up on the site says: ‘When the world closes in on you and your head feels a size too small, apply just two dabs of Origins mind-clearing formula on the back of your neck, temples and earlobes. You’ll feel a tingling sensation as pressure, tension and tightness begin to feel as if they melt away.’

Incredibly, this little package appeared on a day when I was full of stuffy head cold on top of the daily headaches, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to put it through its paces.

I applied a small amount to the recommended areas. The balm releases a really refreshing, minty smell which you inhale as it is slowly absorbed and begins to work its magic.

Within about 15 minutes I was starting to notice the difference. I can honestly say I wasn’t sat there wishing my headache away, I just went and got on with some work so it wasn’t a placebo effect.

After half an hour I started to think I had imagined the headache completely.

If I had to buy this it would seem like a lot of money at £14 for a small 15 fl oz bottle, but it really does what it says on the label!

As you don’t need to use much, it would also last a long time. And it’s a fantastic size just to pop in your handbag or even your pocket. I’ll definitely be recommending this to any of my friends who suffer with frequent headaches or migraines, as they really can make you feel miserable.

John Lewis provided Jacqui with a complimentary Peace of Mind on the understanding that she would provide a real, honest review.
