Book Club: The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa

Henpicked’s book of the month for March 2018…

The Travelling Cat ChroniclesWe are so grateful to book club member Tracey Jones for the superb recommendation for February’s book of the month Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. Thank you from all of us!

If you haven’t shared your thoughts yet, please do let us know what you thought of it and join in the conversation at the bottom of the article on Disqus. What did you think of it? Would you recommend it to a friend?

This month’s book has been recommended by Tracey Jones again. In fairness we couldn’t choose between two last month so decided to go with the other one this month.

We’ve chosen The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa – thousands of international readers can’t be wrong and again, highly rated. This says it all:

‘Anyone who has ever unashamedly loved an animal will read this book with gratitude, for its understanding of an emotion that ennobles us as human beings, whether we value it or not’ LYNNE TRUSS, Guardian

‘Bewitching… as self-possessed and comforting as – well, a cat’ SUNDAY TELEGRAPH

‘It has the warmth, painterly touch, and tenderness of a Studio Ghibli film – and it is a delight to read’ FINANCIAL TIMES

A delightful tale of loyalty and friendship’ JOHN BOYNE, IRISH TIMES

Let’s see what we think!
