So, our book of the month is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It’s on we’ve considered month after month and then chosen something else so it’s now time to read this superb story. Lots of talking points too so let’s see what we all think of it. And some of us do love to read a book then watch the film – this film doesn’t disappoint!

Here’s what they say…

“Extraordinary, resonant and relevant, beautiful and angry.” (Sunday Telegraph)

“…a beautifully balanced piece of storytelling…Unsettling, thought-provoking, life affirming, triumphant and tragic, this is a novel of breathtaking scope, masterfully told. It is an important piece of work, but also a wonderful page-turner.” (Guardian)

“A moving work which will make many eyes brim.” (Independent on Sunday)

“This is a weighty novel worthy of universal acclaim. A sense of dread prevades this beautifully written novel.” (The Daily Express)

Well let’s see what we think. Check out how to become a book champion or get the book from Amazon, read along and join in the conversations.
